Research Management Cell (RMC)
📖 Overview
The Research Management Cell (RMC) at Nepal Commerce Campus is established to foster a culture of inquiry, innovation, and academic excellence among faculty. The cell coordinates and promotes mini‑research projects, faculty‑led research, and the publication of four peer‑reviewed journals. It also facilitates research ethics, capacity building, and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of academia and society.
⚙️ Functions of RMC
- Design and implement mini‑research and faculty research schemes.
- Provide seed funding, ethical clearance, and methodological support.
- Publish four journals: Pravaha, NCC Journal, Paryas Journal, DEPAN Journal.
- Organise research workshops, seminars, and faculty development programmes.
- Monitor and evaluate ongoing research projects.
- Liaise with UGC, university grant commissions, and other research bodies.
- Maintain a digital repository of all research outputs.
📜 Rules & Policies
- All research must follow the campus research ethics code.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited; all submissions are screened.
- Mini research proposals are reviewed by the RMC committee.
- Faculty research proposals require a detailed budget and work plan.
- Every faculty research project must include one NCC student (as co‑investigator or research assistant).
- Final reports must be submitted within the stipulated timeline; extensions require written approval.
- All publications resulting from funded research must acknowledge RMC support.

🔍 Mini Research
Mini research projects are designed exclusively for full‑time permanent and regular contract faculty to develop basic research skills. These projects are mid‑term (one year) and focus on real‑world business and social issues in Nepal.
Objectives
- To introduce faculty members to rigorous research design, data collection, and analysis.
- To encourage evidence‑based problem solving in teaching and administration.
- To produce micro‑level reports for academic or policy improvements.
Guidelines
- Eligibility: Permanent and regular contract faculty of NCC.
- Project duration: Maximum one year from the date of approval.
- Budget limit: Up to NPR 50,000 per mini research project.
- Submission: Final report (20–30 pages) plus a seminar presentation.
- One research paper must be submitted to any of the RMC journals based on the mini research output.
👩🏫 Faculty Research
Faculty members (permanent and regular contract) are encouraged to pursue collaborative research. The RMC provides seed funding, ethical review, and publication support.
✅ Mandatory: Each faculty research project must include one NCC student (as a research assistant or co‑investigator).

- Digital transformation in education, business, and governance
- Sustainable entrepreneurship, social enterprises, and start‑ups
- Post‑pandemic recovery, tourism, and local economic development
Support Provided
- Seed grants up to NPR 150,000 per research project.
- Methodology workshops, access to statistical software (SPSS, R, NVivo).
- Assistance to publish in UGC‑listed journals (national/international).
- Honorarium for the student research assistant.
